Gwendolyn Cody-Davis, who likes to be called Cody, hails from Thomasville, Georgia, and is a proud alumna of Thomasville High School. She graduated from Averett University in Danville, Virginia, earning her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 2007, followed by her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011 from the same institution.
With a rich background spanning 31 years, Cody has dedicated herself to ministry, serving as a licensed and ordained Elder at Blessed Hope Community Church in Prince George, Virginia, under the esteemed leadership of Bishop C.E. Wiley, Senior, and Pastor Amelia J. Wiley. While her passion lies in teaching, she finds her true calling in encouraging and uplifting others within the body of Christ.
Cody’s influence extends beyond the pulpit, as she has been honored to speak at various events, including women's retreats, conferences, and prison ministries across the United States and Europe. Her expertise also encompasses coordinating and hosting women's spiritual transformation events, with her most recent endeavor being the "Be Free and Transformed" Virtual session in February 2024.
Having retired from the Federal Government after 32 years of dedicated service, Cody’s professional journey culminated at the Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where she excelled as a Customer Account Specialist.
An accomplished author, Cody has penned four books: "Love Letters from the MuM," "MuM’s Petals, A Journal for Your Journey," "Finishing Strong, Strategies For Baby Boomers To Transform Dreams into Realities," and her latest release, the Sisters Finishing Strong Workbook (SFS). Cody is honored to be a contributing author for the upcoming book, "How to Bounce Back From Life’s Setbacks," set to be launched in November 2024.
Cody is also a Transformation Coach who created a Christian Women Coaching Program, called Sisters Finishing Strong June, 2024.
Beyond her professional and ministerial endeavors, Cody finds joy in travel, meeting new people, and indulging in her creative pursuits of decorating, writing, and reading. She cherishes her 44-year marriage to her high school sweetheart, Randy M. Davis, who also serves as an Elder at Blessed Hope Community Church. Together, they reside in Chester, Virginia.
Cody proudly embraces her role as a mother to two adult sons, Ryan and Reagan, and a doting grandmother to three remarkable grandsons, Amir, Nolan, and Noah, as well as two beloved daughters-in-love, Kiandra and Jessica.
